This policy explains how Digitium Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on digitium.co.uk, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
The short version
- We use no cookies at all until you choose. When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept analytics or Reject, and both options are equally easy.
- If you accept, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. If you reject, nothing from Google is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
- We do not use advertising, remarketing or social-media tracking cookies.
What is set if you accept analytics
- _ga (up to 2 years): a random ID that lets Google Analytics recognise a returning browser.
- _ga_<ID> (up to 2 years): keeps track of the current visit.
These are set by Google LLC. They record, for example, the pages you view, roughly where you are in the world, your device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off, and analytics data is kept for 14 months. We use it only to understand and improve our website.
Remembering your choice
Your choice is saved in your browser (in local storage, not a cookie) under the name digitium-consent, so we do not keep asking. It is kept for 12 months. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a rejection and do not show the banner.
Changing your mind
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to change your choice at any time. Choosing Reject deletes the analytics cookies from your browser. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; guidance is available at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies.
Cookies that need no consent
Apart from remembering your cookie choice, this website sets no cookies of its own. Our fonts, images and scripts are served from our own hosting. Our client support portal at portal.digitium.co.uk may use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and secure.
Links to other websites
This website links to other services, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Google Maps. If you follow those links, those sites may set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. This is not stored on your device. See our Privacy Policy.
